Define learning goals, observation tasks and reflection before selecting stops.

A useful study programme begins with what participants should understand afterwards. Set goals, observation tasks and reflection before choosing attractions.
Match the learning goals
For younger students, use observation and expression. For older students, introduce questions about cities, nature and culture. If the group consists of teachers, define the professional theme and intended exchange partners first.
Make visits purposeful
A garden can support questions about plants and urban environments. A heritage area can introduce architecture, language and community life. Ask each participant to record a discovery, a question and a possible explanation.
Separate visits from formal partnerships
A campus visit is not automatically an official course or an institutional endorsement. Confirm the host, booking, speakers and participation conditions. Unconfirmed visits must remain proposals.
Include reflection and clear responsibilities
Protect time for discussion, photo notes or a short group presentation. Confirm supervision, meeting arrangements, emergency contacts and dietary needs with the organisers before departure.
